You know, once in a while, a thought from my sermon sticks with me and challenges me throughout the week.  One thought from this week was “we don’t grow in agape love by accident.”  Wow!  what a thought.  Becoming a more loving person or having more loving responses to people doesn’t just happen by accident, by chance.  It happens on purpose.  Because I choose to love you.  Because I choose to act or respond in love instead of in anger, in spite, in selfishness.  Because I choose a better way to love intentionally.

This week, it is my prayer that you will choose to intentionally grow in your love for your spouse, parents, or siblings, and that this agape love will be seen in little things like your reactions to their interrupting what you want to do; in your doing the extra little things for them; in your going out of your way to put their needs before your own. Choose to love on purpose, not by accident.
